When Rupert Grint—best known as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films—started earning big money as a child actor, he couldn’t legally spend it all right away. By the time he was old enough to make his own choices, he surprised everyone with an unusual first splurge.
Instead of a flashy car or a designer wardrobe, his first adult purchase was a 1974 Bedford van from Mr. Whippy: an honest-to-goodness ice cream truck.
