Job Description
We’re looking for experienced Backend Engineers to design and maintain the API infrastructure that powers Chowdeck’s food delivery ecosystem:

Customer App – where people order food
Vendors’ App – used by restaurant owners
Riders’ App – used by delivery drivers
Our tech stack includes NodeJS, MySQL, Redis, AWS, and Google Cloud.

We’re seeking curious, empathetic, and driven engineers who want to grow in a fast-paced startup environment while contributing to a product that directly improves people’s lives.

Responsibilities
As a Backend Engineer at Chowdeck, you will:

Design, build, and maintain features and improvements on APIs, services, and systems.
Debug, diagnose, and fix production issues across multiple services.
Solve technical problems with varying levels of complexity, including performance optimization.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, UX Designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Build and maintain scalable features across Chowdeck platforms.
Identify technical debt and propose improvements to standards, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications & Requirements
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Strong professional experience building large-scale, highly available systems.
Solid knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
A problem-solving mindset that balances speed and quality.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for customer satisfaction and product excellence.
(Bonus) Experience as a team lead or technical lead.
