Why does it feel like if you haven’t made your first million, bought a car, or built a house before 25, you’re already “failing”?

Social media glamorizes overnight success stories, making young people feel like they’re running out of time before life even begins. But behind the curated posts, most of these “successes” are built on loans, family money, or outright lies.

Hustle culture sells us the dream of grinding 24/7, but at what cost? Burnout, anxiety, depression, and a lost sense of self. Life isn’t a race, yet society makes it feel like a competition where only the fastest “win.”

So the question is: Should we keep glorifying this “blow before 25” culture, or is it time to normalize moving at your own pace?
