      Brace Yourself for Ridiculousness!

The Naked Gun is BACK — and it’s dumber, louder, and funnier than ever!
Coming to screens in 2025, this reboot is loaded with over-the-top gags, chaotic chases, and the kind of slapstick nonsense we’ve all missed!

One of the most delightfully absurd comedy franchises in film history is making a triumphant return. The Naked Gun is back this summer with all the crashes, splats, and ka-pows you’d expect—and more.

Leading the charge is Liam Neeson, stepping into the hilariously oversized shoes of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of the original franchise’s clueless but lovable lawman, played by the legendary Leslie Nielsen. This long-awaited reboot is directed by Akiva Schaffer, best known for cult comedy hits like Hot Rod and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

Originally launched in 1988, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! redefined spoof comedy with rapid-fire gags, ridiculous set pieces, and an unforgettable lead performance. Now, decades later, the legacy continues — with a modern twist and a fresh cast of familiar names… sort of.

After simmering in development for years, the project gained serious momentum when Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, Ted) joined as producer in 2021. The film cheekily continues the tradition of Hollywood reboots by introducing the next generation — including the children of Ed Hocken and Nordberg — with Paul Walter Hauser among the new recruits.

      The logline says it best:
“Only one man has the particular set of skills… to lead Police Squad and save the world!”

Get ready. The Naked Gun is back — and dumber than ever.
