The notion of “love at first sight” has long fascinated audiences in romantic films and novels. However, the real-life encounter between Burt Pugach and Linda Riss in 1959 would unfold into a dark and twisted saga of revenge, obsession, and ultimately, a perplexing reunion.
When the two first met, neither could have anticipated the tumultuous journey that lay ahead. Their whirlwind romance was short-lived, as Riss soon discovered that Pugach was already married with children.
