Job Description
The Trade Specialist (Structured Trade & Commodity Finance) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and optimizing new and existing business opportunities within the Trade Finance segment of the Business and Commercial Banking division.

This role involves implementing trade finance strategies that align with Stanbic IBTC’s broader business goals, driving revenue growth, and managing the Trade Finance product portfolio and income statement for the Business Banking segment.

The selected candidate will oversee trade operations and performance across all branches within the network.

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Qualification: First Degree in any discipline (Finance or Accounting will be an added advantage).
Professional Certifications (Preferred):

Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS)
Certified International Trade Professional (CITFP)
Certificate for International Trade and Finance (CITF)
CFA Level 2 Candidate
Experience Required
Trade Finance (3–4 years): Experience in trade deal structuring, advisory, monitoring, and structured commodity finance origination.

Trade Sales (1–2 years): Experience in relationship management and trade revenue management.
Relationship Management (3–4 years): Expertise in financial analysis, loan monitoring, and customer relationship development.
