      Position: Director, Academics (KwaraLEARN)

      Description
      The Director, Academics will be responsible for ensuring quality educational outcomes across KwaraLEARN schools. This role involves designing, managing, and monitoring academic programs, as well as acting as the bridge between instructional designers, teachers, government agencies, and communities.

      Key duties include developing yearly academic plans, collaborating with departments such as Operations and People Management, supervising academic events, advocating for improved learning outcomes, and representing KwaraLEARN with state education stakeholders (SUBEB, MOE, UBEC, etc.).

      Responsibilities

      Lead execution and coordination of KwaraLEARN’s academic strategy.
      Oversee the design and improvement of curriculum and instructional practices.
      Advocate for student achievement and serve as the academic expert within the programme.
      Provide input to instructional design teams to contextualize learning materials.
      Conduct research on policies affecting learning and classroom management.
      Design and implement innovative education solutions to strengthen learning outcomes.
      Manage and mentor the Academics team.
      Qualifications and Requirements

      Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
      Proven experience as a teacher, school leader, or education project manager.
      Strong project management and organizational skills.
      Data-driven mindset with proven ability to track and measure outcomes.
      Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
      Experience engaging with government education agencies is an advantage.
      Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment.
