As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:- Managing and coordinating all aspects of work required for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning of major pipeline projects.
- Handling the interface between subcontractors and OEMs.
- Engaging relevant stakeholders to secure community cooperation within project areas.
- Maintaining a detailed project schedule and delivering within budget and timeline.
- Communicating clearly with executive management on cost, schedule, risks, mitigation, uncertainties, and project enablers.
- Driving stellar HSE performance and ensuring high capital stewardship.
- Collaborating with diverse teams including JPMT, CMT, OEMs, subcontractors, regulators, and vessel operators.
- Coaching and mentoring the field engineering team.
- Interfacing with executive management to resolve project-related issues.
- Providing oversight, supervision, and timely resolution of project challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
- Project Management certification from the Project Management Institute.
- At least 15 years’ experience in facilities, engineering, or project management within the oil and gas industry, with 10 years in major pipeline construction supervisory roles.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an offshore pipeline construction manager or project manager in the Niger Delta (advantageous).
- Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive successful project execution.
- Excellent communication skills, with capacity to manage diverse cultural and multifunctional teams.
- Strong coordination skills for project interfaces impacting planning and execution.
- Experience in installation of PLEMs and offshore buoys.
- Ability to adapt and resolve challenges unique to Niger Delta operations.
