As of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2025, Jay-Z has solidified his position as the most awarded rapper in Grammy history, amassing a total of 25 awards and surpassing his previous tie with Kanye West.

Jay-Z’s Grammy journey began in 1999 when he won Best Rap Album for “Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life.”

Over the years, he has been recognized for his contributions to the music industry, both as a solo artist and through notable collaborations.

In 2004, he secured the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award for “Crazy in Love” with Beyoncé. He continued this momentum in 2005, winning Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Numb/Encore” with Linkin Park.

The year 2010 was particularly fruitful for Jay-Z, as he garnered three Grammy Awards: Best Rap Solo Performance for “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune),” Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “Swagga Like Us” (with T.I., Kanye West, and Lil Wayne), and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Run This Town” (with Rihanna and Kanye West).

In 2011, he added three more awards to his collection: Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song for “Empire State of Mind” (with Alicia Keys), and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “On to the Next One” (with Swizz Beatz).

His winning streak continued in 2012 with Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Otis” (with Kanye West), and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “All of the Lights” (with Kanye West, Rihanna, and Kid Cudi).

In 2013, Jay-Z earned three more Grammys: Best Rap Performance for “Ns in Paris” (with Kanye West), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “No Church in the Wild” (with Kanye West, Frank Ocean, and The-Dream), and Best Rap Song for “Ns in Paris.”

The following year, 2014, he won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Holy Grail” (with Justin Timberlake) and Best Music Video for “Suit & Tie” (with Justin Timberlake).

In 2015, Jay-Z secured the Best R&B Performance award for “Drunk in Love” (with Beyoncé).

His 22nd Grammy came in 2019 when he won Best Urban Contemporary Album for “Everything Is Love” (with Beyoncé as The Carters).

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Jay-Z achieved his record-breaking 25th win, further cementing his legacy in the music industry.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jay-Z has not only amassed numerous awards but has also played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of hip-hop and popular music.
