JAMB Reschedules 2025 UTME to April 24

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new commencement date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Originally scheduled to begin on Friday, April 25, the exam will now start a day earlier—Thursday, April 24, 2025.

The change was confirmed in a statement released by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, and posted on the board’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday.

“The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is now set to commence on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled Friday, April 25,” the statement read.

“This adjustment was made to accommodate vital obligations involving the board and its partnering agencies.”

In addition, JAMB has begun the distribution of Notification Slips, which contain key information such as the candidate’s exam date, venue, time, and instructions.

Candidates are advised to start printing their slips from today, Saturday, April 19, 2025, to allow ample time for planning and logistics.

To print the slip, candidates should:

1. Visit http://www.jamb.gov.ng

2. Click on 2025 UTME Slip Printing

3. Enter their registration number

4. Click Print Examination Slip

The board also reminded candidates that no one would be posted outside the exam town they selected during registration. All are strongly encouraged to locate and familiarize themselves with their assigned centres ahead of the exam.
