      How true is this?

JAMB Deliberately Targeting South-East Candidates, Says Mr. Eze

Mr. Eze has alleged that the widespread failure recorded in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), particularly among candidates from the South-East, is a deliberate move by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to limit admission opportunities for students from the region.

“My office has been overwhelmed with protests, phone calls, and visits from concerned parents and members of the public regarding the unusually high failure rate in this year’s JAMB examination,” Eze stated.

He further warned that if JAMB fails to review the results and award deserving candidates their rightful scores, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will take legal action.

Eze also criticized what he described as a systemic imbalance in admission standards, claiming, “JAMB is fully aware that children from the South-East are required to score significantly higher to gain admission, while in some parts of the country, candidates are admitted into competitive courses like medicine with scores as low as 120.

Seems almost too true to be just a rumour
