Gamers eager to get behind the wheel in Grand Theft Auto VI will have to wait a little longer. Rockstar Games, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, has officially pushed back the release date of the highly anticipated title to November 19, 2026, marking the game’s second major delay. The title was originally slated to launch in May 2026.
Following the announcement, Take-Two’s stock dropped more than 8%, reflecting investor frustration over yet another postponement. However, company executives and analysts remain optimistic that the extended development time will pay off in the long run.
“It’s always painful when we move a date,” said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, “but we’ve never regretted it in retrospect.”
