Job Description
As a Senior People Safety and Health Officer, you will provide professional guidance on health and safety matters across the Qatar Airways Group. You will be responsible for overseeing compliance, investigating incidents, and ensuring the successful implementation of the Qatar Airways Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Manual and Policy.

This role involves safeguarding both staff and customers on ground operations, promoting a culture of health and safety, and driving continuous improvement in OHS standards.

Key Responsibilities
Liaise with Qatar Airways outstation stakeholders to ensure compliance with national and regional OHS requirements.
Recommend changes in policies, procedures, and working practices to meet legal and regulatory standards.
Facilitate the implementation of Qatar Airways OHS Manual across operations.
Assist in incident and accident reporting to prevent recurrence.
Develop and roll out safety campaigns to reduce staff and passenger incidents.
Participate in investigations of staff and customer-related accidents.
Support risk assessments (including fire risk assessments) for Qatar Airways’ commercial outstation locations.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 45001 OHSMS standards.
Provide recommendations for hazard control and follow up on implementation.
Develop, review, and implement emergency procedures (including fire evacuation).
Oversee Permit-to-Work (PTW) evaluations for high-risk activities (work-at-height, hot work, etc.) to ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must have the following skills and credentials:

University degree (BA/BSc/HND) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
ISO 45001 auditing qualification plus any mandatory local OHS certification.
Strong knowledge of international and local Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and standardization.
Excellent interpersonal, investigative, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English (native-level). Ability to write clear, factual reports.
Proficiency in French and Arabic (highly desirable).
Project management and planning abilities.
