Every major smartphone launch comes with its share of early hiccups — and Google’s latest flagship, the Pixel 10, is no exception. As excited users unbox their shiny new devices, a growing number are reporting various bugs and glitches that are beginning to tarnish the experience.

While not every user is affected, the reports are widespread enough to give potential buyers pause. Because honestly, nothing stings more than spending $799 (or more) on a premium phone, only to find something doesn’t quite work right.

Here’s a roundup of the biggest Pixel 10 issues reported so far.

Screen Problems
The most visible — and arguably the most concerning — issue comes from the Pixel 10’s display. Users have described seeing what Android Authority calls “colorful snow,” a kind of static made up of multi-colored lines randomly appearing on the screen.

The glitchy “snow” doesn’t appear to affect responsiveness, and in most cases, the screen returns to normal after a few seconds. That suggests it might be a software issue rather than a hardware fault — one that Google could fix in an upcoming update. Still, it’s a frustrating sight on a phone fresh out of the box.

Android Auto Connection Failures
Another common complaint involves Android Auto. Some Pixel 10 owners say their phones refuse to connect properly to their car’s infotainment system.

The symptoms vary — some get stuck on the Android Auto logo, while others can hear audio but never see the interface appear. Even when it finally connects, users report serious lag that makes the experience nearly unusable.

The cause isn’t yet clear, and since not all users are affected, this could be a software inconsistency or compatibility issue that Google will need to iron out.

Google Wallet Woes
A smaller but still frustrating issue: Google Wallet. Some Pixel 10 users have found they can’t add new cards or IDs (like digital driver’s licenses) to their wallet, even though the same process works fine on other devices.

Workarounds like turning off Wi-Fi or clearing the Wallet cache have been suggested online, but there’s no permanent fix yet. Until Google addresses this in an update, users may need to be patient — or carry their physical cards a little longer.

Wireless Charging Issues
Perhaps the most troublesome category of problems so far involves wireless charging.

The Pixel 10 introduces support for the new Qi2 standard, which is still in its early stages. That means not every charger — even Google’s own Pixel Stand 2 — plays nicely with it yet. Users have reported:

Overheating while charging, sometimes after just a few minutes.

Slow or inconsistent charging speeds, especially on older chargers.

Alignment issues between the phone’s coils and the Pixel Stand 2, likely because Google moved their placement compared to previous models.

To make things more confusing, the Pixel 10 is also designed to pair magnetically with the new Pixelsnap Stand, not older accessories — which could explain some of these problems.

And while some users tried MagSafe chargers, the results were predictably disappointing: Qi2 and MagSafe aren’t fully compatible, so only Qi2-certified chargers deliver the promised fast speeds.

App Crashes After October Update
The latest headache came after the October software update, which seems to have introduced a nasty bug causing frequent app crashes.

Users report seeing constant “app not responding” messages, even after clearing cache or force-stopping apps.

Reddit users have shared potential fixes — like uninstalling and reinstalling updates for Google Play Services and Google Play Store, or installing the Android 16 October update — but these steps aren’t guaranteed and can log you out of your account in the process.

For others, clearing Google Play Services data seems to help temporarily, though it’s not an ideal solution.

The Pixel 10 series still boasts impressive hardware and AI features, but like many first-generation upgrades, it’s not immune to launch-week woes. From display glitches to wireless charging hiccups and Android Auto bugs, Google clearly has a few updates to roll out before the Pixel 10 experience feels truly polished.
