Google Photos Introduces a Handy New Feature

Google Photos has introduced a new feature that many users will find incredibly useful. However, at the moment, it is only available on Android devices. This new addition allows you to quickly and easily mirror your photos with just a few taps.

To use this feature, simply open any image in Google Photos and tap the Edit icon. Next, select Crop, then tap the flip icon. Once you do that, just tap Save, and your mirrored image will be ready. Keep in mind that this functionality is only available for photos, not videos.

This feature is especially helpful for selfies, as most smartphones automatically mirror front-camera shots. While this can be fine in some cases, there are times when you might prefer an accurate representation of what you originally saw in the viewfinder. Some camera apps provide an option to disable mirroring, but for those that don’t, Google Photos now makes it easy to correct the orientation of your images.

As with all edits in Google Photos, you have the option to save the flipped image as a copy, ensuring that the original remains unchanged. Alternatively, you can choose to modify the original photo directly—it’s entirely up to you.
