FG Orders All Vice Chancellors To Open All Schools
Vice chancellors have been directed by President Muhammadu Buhari to reopen universities and permit students to return to classes.
This is stated in a letter that was signed on Monday by Sam Onazi, a director at the National Universities Commission’s finance and accounting division, on behalf of Abubakar Rasheed, the NUC executive secretary.
All vice chancellors, pro chancellors, and chairs of governing councils of federal universities were instructed in a letter to reopen the institutions.
The letter instructed the university to “ensure that ASUU members immediately resume/commence lectures; restore the normal activities and routines of the various University campuses.”
