DSS arrests Doyin Okupe at Lagos airport
Doyin Okupe, the leader of the Labour Party (LP), has been taken into custody by the Department of State Services (DSS).
On January 12, early on a Thursday, he was taken into custody at Lagos’ Muritala Muhammed International Airport (MMA).
Okupe was stopped at Terminal 1 of the airport at the request of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, stated (EFCC).
Okupe was scheduled to take a Virgin Atlantic flight to London when the secret police detained him.
