Bobrisky Jets Out of Nigeria Amid Legal Troubles
Controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly left Nigeria just days after being released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In a series of videos shared on Instagram, Bobrisky announced his departure, boasting about his first-class ticket, which he claims to have purchased three times, amounting to over 30 million naira.

Bobrisky’s exit follows a string of events that began last Thursday, when he was detained and removed from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. He alleged that he was injured during the incident, leading to his transfer to EFCC headquarters in Abuja.
There, he reportedly faced questions about a 15-million-naira bribe he allegedly offered to dismiss money laundering charges. Although he denied the bribery allegation, he was released on bail on Saturday.
Bobrisky’s legal troubles trace back to April 2024, when he was sentenced to six months for naira abuse but spent only three weeks in Kirikiri Prison before reportedly being relocated to a private location.
The situation intensified in September, when social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio clip allegedly featuring Bobrisky discussing efforts to bribe EFCC officials to drop the money laundering charges against him.
