The committee’s findings confirmed Dr. Aliyu’s guilt, leading to his immediate termination under Chapter 3, Item F, Section I(o) of ATBU’s Senior Staff Conditions of Service.
“This is a landmark decision,” Bappa declared. “The council acted swiftly to protect our students and maintain the university’s reputation. Dr. Aliyu has been ordered to return all university property to his Head of Department and surrender his ID to the Chief Security Officer.”
The dismissal, effective immediately, underscores ATBU’s zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct, particularly against vulnerable students.
