      A violent clash between two groups of youths in Kwara State, Nigeria, has resulted in the destruction of 25 cars. The clash, which occurred on Monday evening, was reportedly over a disagreement regarding a girlfriend.

       

      Eyewitnesses stated that the two groups of youths had been arguing over a girl for several weeks prior to the clash. The disagreement eventually escalated into a physical fight, with members of each group using weapons such as cutlasses and knive

       

      A community leader in Ode Popo, Alhaji AbdulRazaq, told our correspondent that, “They started the incident around 1:30am on Saturday because of a girl, Aisha, a JSS 2 student of about 18 year

       

      “They started mobilising themselves for the clash on Friday and left over 25 vehicles destroyed in the process on Saturday,” adding that, “We called on the police to wade in before the issue got out of hand

       

       

      The clash, which took place in the Pakata area of Ilorin, the state capital, caused panic among residents of the area. The police were called to the scene and were able to restore calm after several hou

       

      Another resident, Omotayo, said the police arrested the girl, Aisha, on Sunday morning, adding that the leaders of the two groups, one Ismail and his rival, fled the communities after the inciden

       

      According to the Kwara State Police Command, 11 suspects have been arrested in connection with the clash. The police also recovered several dangerous weapons from the scene of the inciden

       

      The state police commissioner, Mohammed Lawal Bagega, condemned the violence and urged residents to maintain peace and order. He stated that the police would not hesitate to deal decisively with anyone found to be involved in any act of violence or criminalit

       

      The incident has sparked concerns about the growing trend of violence among youths in the state. Many residents are calling on the government and community leaders to take urgent steps to address the root causes of such violence and prevent its recurrence in the future.

      My question is very simple. Why are you fasting and still causing havoc for other peaceful people in the community. All of them deserve to be locked up.
