FCMLST ND II Direct Admission and Short-Term Certificate Programmes 2025/2026; The Federal College of Medical and Laboratory Science Technology (FCMLST), Jos wishes to inform all candidates, parents, and guardians that the institution has officially commenced applications for the National Diploma (ND II) Direct Admission (Recertification) for Medical Laboratory Technologists.
In addition, the College is offering short-term certificate courses in the following programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session:
- Applied Immunology and Vaccine Science
- Mortuary Science
- Phlebotomy
Entry Requirements
Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Recertification (ND II Direct Admission)
Eligible applicants include:
- Candidates with an Ordinary Diploma (OD) in Medical Laboratory Technology or related courses from any recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Candidates with a professional MLT license who intend to obtain an academic certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Applicants must possess:
- An OD Certificate
- An MLT License
- GCE/NECO/WAEC results with five credits in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and Physics (obtained in not more than two sittings).
Programme Duration: One (1) year
Applied Immunology and Vaccine Science
Eligible applicants include:
- Holders of BMLS or BSc in Biomedical Sciences
- Holders of OD or ND in Medical Laboratory Technology with at least one (1) year of laboratory, clinical, or research experience
Programme Duration: Nine (9) months
Mortuary Science and Phlebotomy
Eligible applicants include:
- Holders of BMLS or BSc in Biomedical Sciences
- Holders of OD or ND in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Mortuary Attendants with GCE, NECO, or WAEC, including credits in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and Physics (not more than two sittings) and with at least one (1) year job experience
Programme Duration: Six (6) months
(Note: Category 3 applies to Mortuary Science only.)

All eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦10,000 for the application form via Remita.
Payment Steps:
- Go to Remita Homepage.
- Select PAY TSA & STATE.
- Choose PAY FGN, then under “WHO TO PAY”, select FCMLST Jos 052102704200.
- Specify what the payment is for.
- Input the amount, name of payer, phone number, and email address.
- Enter Nil in the GIFMIS code field.
- On description, state what the payment is for.
- Choose a preferred method of payment (e.g., debit card or bank branch).
- Pay and generate a receipt with the Remita code.
Important Information
- All candidates must come with their original credentials, passport photograph, and application payment receipt for verification and documentation.
- Screening/registration will take place from 1st to 3rd October 2025, at 10:00 am prompt at the College Assembly Complex.
- Closing date for application: Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
