Emmanuel Alayande College Of Education (EACOED) Releases 2023/2024 Admission Form; This serves as an official announcement that the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo has commenced the post-UTME screening exercise for the 2023/2024 academic session.

GENERAL UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The admission requirements for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes for both UTME and Direct Entry Candidates are detailed as follows:

FOR UTME 4-YEAR PROGRAMME:

• Candidates must possess WAEC/NECO Senior School Certificate (SSC), General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O’Level), or their equivalents with credits in five (5) subjects obtained at not more than two sittings. Note that National Technical Certificate/National Business Certificate (NTC/NBC) is acceptable for Vocational courses only.
• A credit in O’Level English language is mandatory for all courses.

SPECIAL COURSES REQUIREMENTS:

• Mathematics credit is mandatory for all Sciences, Vocational and Technical, and Social Science-based courses.
• Literature in English credit is required for English Language.
• At least one science subject credit is needed for Mathematics.
• Candidates opting for Educational Management must have obtained credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics at the Ordinary Level.
• For Social Studies, credits in any two (2) of Geography, Economics, Government, Commerce, Christian Religious Knowledge, Islamic Religious Knowledge, History, and Yoruba are acceptable.
• Candidates aiming for Counselling Psychology with teaching subject options in science and social sciences must possess a credit in Mathematics.

To secure admission for the session, candidates must adhere to the following application procedures:

1. Change of University Choice:

Candidates are required to change their previous choice of University to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo on the JAMB portal.

2. Eligibility:

The university will only admit candidates with credit passes in at least five relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/NECO. Candidates are urged to acquaint themselves with O’Level requirements and UTME subject combinations for their chosen programme. Further details are available on the University website.

3. Method of Application:

4. Submission of Application:

The post-UTME screening fee is N2,000.00.

5. Minimum Cut-Off Mark:

6. Notification of Admissions:

Successful shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the University website. Those offered admission will be formally contacted through JAMB.
