EKSU Post-UTME/Direct Entry Form 2026/2027: Eligibility, Cut-Off Marks and How to Apply

EKSU Post-UTME/Direct Entry Form 2026/2027. Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) has commenced the screening of candidates seeking admission through UTME and Direct Entry (DE) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening exercise commenced on 3 July 2026 and does not involve a written examination.

The university has set the general minimum UTME score at 150, although several programmes require higher scores. Direct Entry candidates must also meet the requirements applicable to their chosen programmes.

How to Apply for EKSU Post-UTME/DE Screening

Candidates should complete their applications through the EKSU online admission portal.

  1. Visit the EKSU admission portal at eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng and click “ADMISSION.”
  2. Create an account using the required information.
  3. Provide an active email address and personal telephone number.
  4. Check the email address used during registration for the verification message.
  5. Log in to the dashboard using the correct email address or JAMB registration number as the username.
  6. Enter the password created during registration.
  7. Select “2026/2027 PUTME application” from the dashboard.
  8. Enter your JAMB registration number where required.
  9. Pay for the Post-UTME screening form through the online payment page.
  10. Upload a 1″ x 1″ coloured passport photograph with a red background in JPEG format.
  11. Upload your O’Level result details from WASC, SSCE, NECO or NABTEB. Results must not exceed two sittings.
  12. Preview the completed form, verify all information, submit the application and print the completed screening form.

Candidates who selected EKSU as their first choice will have their information populated automatically. Candidates who did not initially select EKSU as their first choice will need to provide their correct details, beginning with their JAMB registration number.

EKSU Post-UTME Eligibility

UTME candidates who selected EKSU and meet the minimum UTME score for their chosen programme can apply for the screening exercise.

Candidates who did not initially select EKSU may also be considered if they:

  • Scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME.
  • Change their first choice to EKSU through JAMB CAPS.

Candidates with awaiting Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination results should not apply yet. They are expected to apply after their results are released.

EKSU Cut-Off Marks for 2026/2027

EKSU’s general minimum UTME score for the 2026/2027 admission screening is 150. However, some programmes have higher programme-specific minimum scores.

Candidates who do not meet the required score for a particular programme may choose another programme for which they meet the minimum score and effect the necessary change on JAMB CAPS.

EKSU O’Level Requirements

Candidates must have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.

The results must not be from more than two sittings.

Candidates will be required to upload their O’Level result details during the application process.

EKSU Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry candidates must satisfy the admission requirements applicable to their chosen programmes.

The requirements stated by the university include:

  • Engineering: Minimum of Upper Credit from a Polytechnic.
  • Other programmes: Minimum of Lower Credit.
  • MBBS and Law: At least Second Class Lower Division in related programmes.
  • Nursing Science: Candidate must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Education: NCE with Credit or Merit in relevant teaching subjects.

Direct Entry candidates who are interested in changing their first choice to EKSU may also be considered, provided their records are correct and the required transcripts are submitted.

EKSU Direct Entry Transcript Deadline

Direct Entry candidates are required to send their academic transcripts to:

admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng

The transcript must be received on or before 31 October 2026.

EKSU states that applications from Direct Entry candidates whose transcripts are not received by the deadline will not be considered for admission.

EKSU Pre-Degree and JUPEB Admission

EKSU will give concessions to successful students from its Pre-Degree and JUPEB programmes, subject to Senate approval.

The university accepts JUPEB with a minimum of 7 points for admission.

However, IJMB is not accepted.

NECO Result Verification for EKSU Admission

UTME candidates who are using NECO results are required to submit their Result Verification Tokens at the Admissions Office for verification of their O’Level results.

Candidates who do not have a Result Verification Token should use the NECO result verification portal at everify.neco.gov.ng and enter admissions.verification@eksu.edu.ng in the required email field.

The application deadline for the 2026/2027 EKSU Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening exercise is:

31 October 2026

Direct Entry candidates must also ensure that their transcripts reach the university by the same date.

Candidates are advised to complete their applications and required uploads before the deadline.

What Can Lead to Disqualification?

EKSU warns that candidates who provide false information during the application process will be automatically disqualified.

Candidates who fail to participate in the screening exercise will also not be considered for admission.

Applicants should therefore ensure that all personal, academic and JAMB information submitted during registration is accurate and verifiable.
