Admission Requirements and Duration
General Requirements
All candidates must meet specific requirements to be considered for any postgraduate programme at EBSU. A minimum of a credit pass in O’Level English Language is mandatory for all programmes. For candidates in Medical, Para-Medical, Pure and Applied Sciences, and related fields, a credit pass in Mathematics is also required. For Management Sciences, Arts, Social Sciences, and Law, a pass in Mathematics may be accepted, except for Economics, Accountancy, and Banking and Finance, which require a credit pass in O’Level Mathematics.
Specific Programme Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from EBSU or another recognized institution.
- Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with an upper credit in a related discipline.
- Hold a third class degree with a CGPA of at least 2 on a 5-point scale.
- Hold an HND with lower credit in a related discipline and three years of relevant work experience.
Master of Science (MSc) Candidates must:
- Be graduates of EBSU or another approved university with at least a good second class honours or equivalent.
- Hold an EBSU PGD or a PGD from another recognized institution with a CGPA of not less than 2.5 on a 5-point scale or 60% average.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Candidates must:
- Hold a Master’s degree appropriate to the proposed study from an approved university.
- Have a CGPA of not less than 3.5 on a 5-point scale from the Master’s programme.
