DESOMATECH Opens HND Admissions for 2025/2026. Delta State Maritime Polytechnic, Burutu — better known as DESOMATECH — has opened its portal for Higher National Diploma (HND) applications for the 2025/2026 academic year. The polytechnic invites qualified candidates to apply for full-time or part-time HND programmes across its main and satellite campuses.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission into DESOMATECH’s HND programmes, applicants must:
- Possess a National Diploma (ND) in a related discipline with at least Lower Credit (2.50 CGPA)
- Present evidence of at least one year of industrial training or relevant work experience
- Fulfill the initial ND entry requirements
- Have their official ND transcript sent directly from their previous institution to DESOMATECH
- ND holders with a Pass grade (2.00–2.49) may still be considered, but must complete a Pre-HND year
✔️ No aptitude test is required — admissions are based on credentials and qualifications.
How to Apply
To apply for any of the HND programmes:
- Visit the official DESOMATECH application portal
- Click on “Apply Now”
- Create a profile and follow the on-screen instructions
- Pay the ₦25,000 application fee securely through the platform (online payment only)
- Log in using the same credentials to complete the full application
- Print two copies of your acknowledgement slip for your records
