DESOMATECH Opens 2025/2026 ND Admissions for FT/PT & Weekend Programmes. Delta State Maritime Polytechnic, Burutu — known as DESOMATECH — has officially opened its application portal for National Diploma (ND) admissions into the 2025/2026 academic session. The polytechnic is accepting candidates into full-time, part-time, and weekend programmes across its Burutu, Kwale, and Gbaregolor campuses.
For students seeking maritime-oriented training in engineering, science, safety, or business, DESOMATECH offers a wide range of diploma courses built for practical application and workforce readiness.
Applications are now open. All fees must be paid online only through the official portal — no cash or offline transactions accepted.

Entry Requirements
To qualify for admission into any ND programme, candidates must have:
- Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects (from SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB), at no more than two sittings
Subject Combinations by Discipline:
Engineering Courses:
- English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one of: Technical Drawing, Biology, Economics, or Additional Mathematics
Science Programmes:
- English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one of: Biology, Geography, or Technical Drawing
Environmental/Planning Programmes:
- English, Mathematics, and three from: Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, or Art (depending on the specific course)
Business & Maritime Transport:
- English, Mathematics, and any three from: Government, Economics, Civic Education, Commerce, Accounting, etc.

How to Apply
- Visit the official DESOMATECH application portal
- Click “Apply Now”
- Fill in your personal and academic information
- Pay the ₦20,000 application fee via the online payment gateway
- Complete the registration process and print two copies of your acknowledgment slip

Deadline and Aptitude Test Information
- Application closes: 30 June 2025

Approved Test Centres
Candidates will sit for the aptitude test at one of the following venues:
- DESOMATECH Main Campus, Burutu
- College of Education, Warri
- Utagba-Ogbe Technical College, Kwale Campus
- Gbaregolor Campus
