Cross River State Releases 2026 BECE (Junior WAEC); The Cross River State Ministry of Education has released the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) timetable, also known as Junior WAEC.

This examination is meant for JSS 3 candidates preparing to move into SS1. With the official dates now announced, schools, parents, and candidates can clearly view the full examination schedule, arranged day by day and subject by subject.

Cross River State BECE Timetable 2026

The 2026 BECE examination will run for five days, from Monday, 18 May 2026 to Friday, 22 May 2026.

Monday, 18 May 2026

  • French — 3 hours — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Religious Studies — 3 hours — 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm

Tuesday, 19 May 2026

  • English Studies — 3 hours — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Prevocational Studies — 3 hours — 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm

Wednesday, 20 May 2026

  • Business Studies — 3 hours — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • National Values — 3 hours — 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm

Thursday, 21 May 2026

  • Mathematics — 3 hours — 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Who the Examination Is For

This BECE timetable is specifically designed for JSS 3 candidates who are preparing to progress into Senior Secondary School (SS1).
