1. College of Health Sciences
Programmes:
- Medicine and Surgery

Qualifications and Experience
Professor:
- Ph.D. in the relevant field with at least 12 years of teaching and research experience.
- Evidence of substantial publications, postgraduate supervision, and independent research.
- For Medicine and Surgery: MBBS or BDS, registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), and a recognized Specialty Fellowship with a minimum of 9 years post-fellowship experience.
Reader (Associate Professor):
- Ph.D. with at least 10 years of teaching and research experience.
- Strong publication record and postgraduate supervision experience.
- For Medicine and Surgery: MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and Specialty Fellowship with 6 years post-fellowship experience.
Senior Lecturer:
- Ph.D. with at least 5 years of university-level teaching experience and solid publication history.
- For clinical disciplines: MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and Specialty Fellowship with 3 years post-fellowship experience.
Lecturer I:
- Ph.D. with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- For clinical fields: MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and Specialty Fellowship.
Lecturer II:
- MBBS/BDS with MDCN registration and at least a Master’s degree or Postgraduate College membership.
- Ph.D. registration is an advantage.
2. College of Law
Programmes:
- Private and Public Law
- Commercial and International Law
Qualifications and Experience
Professor:
- Ph.D. in Law with specialization relevant to the department.
- Minimum 12 years of teaching and research experience.
- Must have strong publications, academic leadership, and professional membership in NBA and NALT.
Reader (Associate Professor):
- Ph.D. in Law with at least 9 years of university experience.
- Must be an active member of NBA and demonstrate postgraduate supervision and research capacity.
Senior Lecturer:
- Ph.D. in Law with 6 years of experience and evidence of research activity.
- Must belong to NBA, preferably NALT, and have postgraduate teaching or curriculum development experience.
Lecturer I:
- Ph.D. in Law or LL.M with ongoing Ph.D. studies.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching or professional experience.
- Must be an active NBA member.
Lecturer II:
- LL.M degree and LL.B (Second Class Upper minimum).
- Must have been called to the Bar and be an active NBA member.
- Some professional or teaching experience preferred.
B. Non-Teaching Positions
1. Technologists (ICT and E-Learning Resources):
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Experience managing virtual learning environments, e-learning platforms, and multimedia tools.
- Certifications in LMS or multimedia applications are desirable.
2. College Administrators and Departmental Admin Officers:
- B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Sociology, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- Experience in educational administration preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
