This comes as the panel of accreditation released its findings following a recent visit to the university to evaluate the caliber of the Building Technology program that the institution is now offering.
The panel determined that the program was deserving of full accreditation after taking into account concerns with academic subjects, physical facilities, staffing, funding, library, and employers’ ratings during its visitation in June 2021.
Builder Adetunji Adeniran wrote a letter expressing the approval to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, the Registrar and Secretary to Council, CORBON, and a Fellow of the Institute “At its 119th meeting, the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) considered and approved the Accreditation Panel’s report following its accreditation visitation to your institution from June 27 to June 30, 2021. In order to comply with Section 12 (1) b of the Builders Registration Act, Cap. B13 LFN 2004, Council has awarded full accreditation for your university’s building program for the next five (5) years, beginning on January 31, 2023 “.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, responded to the development by praising the objective evaluation by CORBON and reassuring that FUTA will continue to make every effort to ensure that all accreditation standards are met for its programs in order to provide students with the best training possible through efficient teaching and research.
