Requirements for CONSA Post-Basic Nursing Admission
To be eligible for the Post-Basic Nursing programme, you must:
- Academic Qualifications:
- Obtain a minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Credits must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- Accepted exam bodies are WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB.
- Combination of results is allowed if from the same body (e.g., WAEC/WAEC or NECO/NECO). NABTEB results cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO.
- Present an original WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB certificate or computer printout.
- Awaiting results are not accepted.
- Provide a testimonial from the school where you completed WAEC or NECO.
- Professional Qualifications:
- Completed a three-year Basic Midwifery or Psychiatric Nursing programme.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Midwife or Psychiatric Nurse.
- Hold a valid practicing license.
- Have at least one (1) year of post-clinical experience in the relevant area.
- Additional Requirements:
- Provide a birth certificate from the National Population Commission, a government hospital, or a court declaration of age.
- Have an active and functional personal email.
