Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Programme 2025-2026: Fully Funded Master’s Study in the UK; The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Programme, supported by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK, provides a fully-funded opportunity for Master’s study. This programme is designed to empower talented individuals from eligible Commonwealth countries to become future leaders and innovators.


Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship includes comprehensive support, covering:

AirfareApproved return airfare from the scholar’s home country to the UK.
Tuition FeesFull tuition fees as agreed between the CSC and the UK university.
Living Allowance£1,378 per month, or £1,690 for scholars in the London metropolitan area.
Warm Clothing AllowanceProvided where applicable.
Thesis GrantFunding for the preparation of a dissertation or thesis.
Study Travel GrantFinancial support for study-related travel within or outside the UK.
Tuberculosis Test ContributionCovers the cost of a mandatory TB test required for visa application.
Child Allowance£590 per month for the first child and £146 per month for the second and third child under 16, if the scholar is a single parent, divorced, or widowed, with children residing with them in the UK.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship/Status: Be a citizen of or hold refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Residence: Reside permanently in an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Start Date: Be available to commence academic studies in the UK by September 2025.
  • Academic Qualifications: Hold a first degree with at least upper second-class (2:1) honours or a lower second-class degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Previous Study/Work: Not have studied or worked in a high-income country for more than one academic year.
  • Financial Need: Be unable to afford to study in the UK without the scholarship.
  • Supporting Documents: Provide all required documentation in the specified format.
