Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Non-Chinese Citizenship:
    • Must be non-Chinese citizens.
    • Must be in good health and law-abiding with no criminal record.
    • Must meet the university’s basic admission requirements for international students.
  2. Language Proficiency for English-taught Programs:
    • Undergraduate: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 75 or higher, or equivalent proof of English proficiency. Chinese language skills are preferred.
    • Graduate: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 80 or higher, or equivalent proof of English proficiency. Chinese language skills are advantageous.
    • Exceptions: Applicants from countries where English is the official language do not need to provide proof of English proficiency.
  3. Language Proficiency for Chinese-taught Programs:
    • Undergraduate: HSK-4 level with a score of 222 or above.
    • Graduate: HSK-5 level or higher.
  4. Educational and Age Requirements:
    • Undergraduate: High school graduates under 25 years old.
    • Master’s Programs: Bachelor’s degree holders under 35 years old.
    • Doctoral Programs: Master’s degree holders under 45 years old.

  • Scanned copies of all China visa pages and China entry and exit record pages.
  • Passport photos (480×720) with a white background.
  • Highest academic certificate and transcript (with certified Chinese/English translations if not in Chinese or English) with an average score of over 70%.
  • Certificate of Language Proficiency.
  • Study and research plan.
  • Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Health Certificate) with a laboratory report.
  • Certificate of no criminal record.
  • Two recommendation letters from associate professors or above (for postgraduate program applicants).
  • Acceptance letter from a supervisor (recommended for master’s applicants, mandatory for Ph.D. applicants).
