Kindly note that only candidates who applied through JAMB for Direct Entry Admissions and selected Bayero University as their First Choice are eligible for this screening.
Important details for BUK screening exercise for Direct Entry candidates, 2023/2024:
- Visit any JAMB Office or Accredited CBT Centre closest to you to upload your ‘O’ Level results (such as WAEC, NECO, etc.) on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
- Providing false information will lead to disqualification. Candidates are allowed to submit a maximum of two different ‘O’ Level examination results.
Notable exceptions for National “O” level results:
- NBAIS is acceptable only for B.A. Arabic, B.A. Islamic Studies, and B.A. Sharia in the Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies.
- NABTEB is not acceptable for admissions into the Faculties of Clinical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences within the College of Health Sciences.
Application Procedure:
Step 1: Login to the Bayero University website: http://www.buk.edu.ng and click on “2023 DE ONLINE SCREENING EXERCISE.”
Step 2: Profile Update – DE candidates should use their JAMB DE Registration Number, State, and Gender to log in. Complete the provided form, noting that the photograph uploaded from JAMB will serve as the valid ID throughout the stay at Bayero University, Kano.
Step 3: Generate BUK PPI – Generate and download your Personalised Payment Invoice (PPI) containing the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for the screening cost of N2,000.00. Payment options include online methods like Credit/Debit Cards, Internet Banking, or printing the invoice for payment at any Commercial Bank nationwide. After successful online payment, candidates can instantly generate and print their acknowledgment slip. For bank payments, candidates need to process the payment using the provided “check your payment” button on the site before printing the acknowledgment card.
