Ban Ki-Moon Global Citizen Scholarship Program 2024 For Young African Leaders; In 2024, the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens is offering 17 full scholarships to young African graduates and PhD candidates, covering program costs.
If COVID-19 restrictions permit travel, accommodation and a daily stipend for attendance at an in-person gathering will also be provided.

About the Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship: This program empowers exceptional young individuals by facilitating their participation in international conferences, tailor-made short-term academic trainings, and supporting them in the development of their own “SDG Micro-Project.”

Eligibility:
- African youth from Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
- Age group 20-35
- Graduate or doctoral/post-doctoral students or recent graduates of a master’s level degree or higher.
- Strong dedication to the SDGs, particularly SDG 11, and the ideals of global citizenship.
- Demonstrate limited access to such opportunities.
- Minimum English level B2 proficiency (European Standards)

- Full cost coverage for summer school training at the University of Bordeaux.
- Coverage of skills training with MCI and other expert workshops.
- €500 seed grant for the implementation of an SDG Micro-Project.
