ATBU Reopens Admission Portal for Physical Screening 2025/2026; The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has officially reopened its admission portal for undergraduate physical screening for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This decision follows the recent extension of the admission exercise for public universities by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), allowing more time for qualified candidates to complete their admission processes.
Official Statement
According to a statement released by the Registrar, Kabiru Garba Aminu (fnipr), on 3rd November 2025, the reopening of the admission portal aims to accommodate candidates who have not yet completed their admission procedures.
The management also announced that candidates may change their course choices during the screening period. However, certain highly competitive programmes are excluded from this option due to capacity constraints.
Excluded Programmes
Course changes are not permitted for the following programmes:
- Medicine (MBBS)
- Nursing
- Public Health
- Veterinary Medicine
- Architecture
- Quantity Surveying
- Civil Engineering
- Computer and Communications Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Computer Science
Physical Screening Schedule
- Date: Monday, 3rd November – Monday, 10th November 2025
- Venue: NCC Building, Gubi Campus, along Ningi-Kano Road, Bauchi
All eligible candidates are required to attend the screening exercise within the stated period.
