
ATBU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Form for 2026/2027 Admission; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has commenced its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission session.
The screening exercise will be conducted online for qualified UTME and Direct Entry candidates. Applicants who scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME, as well as Direct Entry candidates, are expected to complete the online screening within the specified registration period.
Who Can Apply for ATBU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening?
The screening exercise is open to:
- UTME candidates who scored 160 or above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University.
All eligible candidates are required to complete the online screening through the official ATBU screening portal.
ATBU Online Screening Schedule
The online screening exercise will commence on Monday, 13 July 2026.
The screening portal will remain open for two weeks, from Monday, 13 July to Monday, 27 July 2026, during which all eligible candidates must complete their online registration.
Physical Screening Dates
Following the online screening, the physical verification exercise will begin on Monday, 27 July 2026.
The physical screening will continue until 22 August 2026, during which candidates’ original credentials will be verified by the university.
ATBU Post UTME Screening Fee
The screening fee for the 2026/2027 admission exercise is ₦2,000 only.
Applicants are required to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and pay the screening fee into the university’s account using an ATM card or at any commercial bank.
How to Apply for ATBU Post UTME Screening
Candidates should complete the online screening by following these steps:
- Visit the official ATBU online screening portal.
- Log in using your JAMB registration number.
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) using your JAMB registration number as your username and select Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi as the institution.
- Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee using an ATM card or through any bank of your choice.
- Enter your GSM number, email address, and all other required personal information on the screening form.
- Carefully review all the information provided.
- Submit the completed screening form.
- Download and print the online screening acknowledgement slip, which will be required during physical screening.
Requirements for Physical Screening
Candidates are expected to present the following during the physical screening exercise:
- Printed online screening acknowledgement slip.
- Original copies of all academic credentials and other relevant documents for verification.
The university will verify all original credentials during the physical screening exercise.
Important Information for Candidates Awaiting Results
Applicants who registered with awaiting results must revisit their JAMB profile and upload or update their O’Level results as soon as they become available.
The university has advised affected candidates to ensure their O’Level results are updated on the JAMB portal before the screening process is concluded.
