ASUU Indigent Scholarship 2026. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has opened 2026 Indigent Scholarship Award opportunities for students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) and Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE).
The scholarships are targeted at students who meet the respective universities’ academic and financial-need requirements.
Although the three scholarship exercises are all under the ASUU indigent scholarship scheme, the eligibility requirements, application methods, deadlines and selection arrangements differ by university.

ASUU-FUTO Indigent Scholarship 2026
The ASUU-FUTO Branch has opened applications for its 2026 Indigent Scholarship Award for eligible students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
Applications must be submitted at the ASUU-FUTO Secretariat before the stated deadline.
ASUU-FUTO Scholarship Eligibility
To apply, a student must:
- Be indigent.
- Be a registered student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 as at the Harmattan semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.
- Not be a current scholarship beneficiary.
The CGPA must be supported by information from the applicant’s current Head of Department.

The scholarship invitation follows the ASUU National Secretariat’s scholarship exercise.

- Be genuinely indigent students of Federal University Otuoke.

FUOTUOKE has the earliest deadline:
