- Amount: Between £15,000 and £30,000 annually for up to two years.
- Eligibility: Open to civil society organizations (CSOs) registered in eligible Commonwealth Foundation member countries.
- Limit: The requested grant amount must not exceed 70% of the applicant’s average annual income for the past two years, which must be below £2.5 million.
- Experience Required: Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience in advocacy and participatory governance.

To qualify for the grant, projects must:
- Be implemented in the country where the applicant is registered.
- Have a national, sub-national, regional, or international impact.

Project Timeline: Projects must begin between 1 August 2025 and the end of September 2025.
Who Can Apply?
- Eligible Organizations: Not-for-profit civil society organizations with a proven track record and at least three years of registration.
- Ineligible Organizations: Newly registered organizations or those with ongoing Commonwealth Foundation projects that haven’t received final payments.
- Special Note: Applicants in India must comply with the Foreign Contribution Registration Act (FCRA) to receive funding.
Financial Requirements:
- For grants of £15,000 per year, applicants may submit audited accounts or annual accounts signed by a responsible officer.
- For grants over £15,000, only audited accounts, including the auditor’s opinion, are acceptable. These accounts must not be older than December 2022.
