Internship Areas

Interns will work in different AU offices, including:
✔ Chairperson’s Office
✔ Deputy Chairperson’s Office
✔ Director General’s Office
✔ Education, Science, and Technology
✔ Health and Social Development
✔ Political Affairs and Security
✔ Human Resources
✔ Legal Affairs
✔ Finance and Audit
✔ Information and Communication

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:
✔ Be in their final year of a bachelor’s degree or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
✔ Be a citizen of an AU member state.
✔ Be a full-time student in their final year or a recent graduate.
✔ Be fluent in at least one AU working language (Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese).
✔ Be under 32 years old at the time of selection.
✔ Have no serious criminal record.
✔ Work experience is not required.

Required Skills

PRACTICE PAST QUESTIONS HERE (JAMB, WAEC, NECO, POST-UTME)

✔ Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
✔ Ability to use email and internet applications.
✔ Strong communication skills (writing and speech).
✔ Fluency in at least one AU working language.

Internship Terms

✔ Duration: 3 months (renewable once).
✔ Costs: AU does not cover travel, accommodation, or living expenses.
✔ Visa: Interns must handle their own entry and residence visas.
✔ Health Insurance: Interns must have personal health insurance.
