Apply for the ABSU Post UTME/DE 2024/2025. The Abia State University (ABSU) has officially released the Post UTME/Direct Entry screening form for the 2024/2025 academic session. This announcement marks the beginning of the application process for prospective students seeking admission into the university.

Latest Update:

Because of the current situation, the Senate of Abia State University has decided that candidates will be screened for 2024/2025 admissions using their UTME scores and O’level or Degree results.

The Post-UTME screening that was planned for 4th to 6th September 2024 will no longer take place.

The University has given an extra two weeks for registration, so if you haven’t registered up yet, you have until Friday, 20th September 2024.

Who Is Eligible for the ABSU Post UTME?

  • If you selected Abia State University as your first or second choice in the UTME, or if you did not choose the university but now wish to, you are eligible to apply.
  • A minimum score of 140 in the UTME is required to qualify.
  • You must also meet the university’s entry requirements, including the necessary five O’level credit passes.
  • Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply for the ABSU Post UTME:

  1. Log on to the ABSU portal to generate an invoice.
  2. Make a payment of two thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) at any branch of the designated banks listed below:
    • ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu
    • Signature Bank
    • Eco Bank Plc
    • Zenith Bank Plc
    • Fidelity Bank Plc
    • Union Bank Plc
    • UBA Plc
  3. Payment can also be made using bank debit cards.
  4. After payment, return to the ABSU portal and select the ABSU Aptitude Test.
  5. Carefully fill out the application form, ensuring all details are accurate.
  6. Upload a clear passport photograph to avoid rejection.
  7. Once completed, download a copy of the form as proof of your registration.

Important Points to Remember:

  • Ensure all details are accurately entered during the application process to prevent any issues later.
  • There is no need to upload a photograph or biometric capture, as JAMB has already provided these.
  • Candidates who do not register for the Post UTME screening will be ineligible for admission.
  • Certain candidates, such as foreign candidates, inmates of Correctional Centres, and those who are blind or deaf, are exempt from the screening exercise.

All screening exercises will take place at the main campus in Uturu and will commence at 10:00 am each day.
