Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be in the penultimate year (second-to-last year) of their undergraduate programme.
- Attend an NHEF partner university, which includes:
- Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)
- Bayero University Kano (BUK)
- University of Ibadan (UI)
- University of Lagos (UNILAG)
- University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)
- University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT)
- Demonstrate academic excellence, extracurricular engagement, and leadership potential.
- Show a commitment to community service and making a positive societal impact.

How to Apply
- Visit the NHEF Application Portal.
- Create an account by providing your name, email, phone number, and a password.
- Verify your email by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
- Log in and click on the APPLY tab.
- Complete the bio-data section and respond to the programme essay questions.
- Upload the following documents in PDF format:
- One-page CV.
- One-page Cover Letter.
- Most recent Statement of Result.
- Review and submit your application.
Note: Prepare essay responses in a separate document to avoid losing progress, as the portal does not allow saving before submission.
Confirming Submission
After submission:
- Your dashboard will display: “Scholars Program – Application Submitted on [Date and Time]”.
- You will receive an email confirmation.
- The application tab on your dashboard will become inaccessible.
