NDU Postgraduate Admission Requirements
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
- Meet matriculation requirements, including a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics at the O’ level.
- Hold at least a third-class degree in a relevant field from an approved university.
- HND holders with a minimum of a credit level pass from recognized institutions are eligible.
- Master’s Programme:
- Meet matriculation requirements.
- Hold a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with at least second-class honours (Lower Division) from an approved university.
- A CGPA of at least 3.50/4.00 on a 5.00-point scale is required for appropriate faculties.
- The CGPA requirement for Biochemistry is 3.00, and for Biological Sciences, it is 2.75.
- Candidates with a PGD at credit level pass are eligible.
- Master’s/PhD Programme:
- Meet matriculation requirements.
- Hold a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with at least second-class honours (Lower Division) from an approved university.
- Possess a Master’s Degree with a CGPA of at least 3.20 on a 5.00-point scale.
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D):
- Meet matriculation requirements.
- Hold a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with at least second-class honours (Lower Division) from an approved university.
- Possess a Master’s Degree with a CGPA of at least 3.50/4.00 on a 5.00-point scale.
- For a Ph.D. in Reproductive Health, holders of Full Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or the West African College of Surgeons (WACS), and holders of Part 1 Fellowship, are eligible.
Application and Additional Admission Requirements
- Submit an academic transcript of past qualifications (PGD, MSc, Ph.D.) with a forwarding letter signed by an authorized officer of the institution.
- Two referees are required, one of whom must be an academic referee.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption/Exclusion Letter is needed. Candidates awaiting the NYSC Discharge certificate can apply, provided the certificate will be ready at the time of registration.
Duration of NDU Postgraduate Programmes
- Full-Time:
- PGD: Minimum of two semesters, maximum of four semesters.
- Master’s: Minimum of four semesters, maximum of six semesters.
- Ph.D.: Minimum of six semesters, maximum of ten semesters.
- Part-Time:
- PGD: Minimum of four semesters, maximum of six semesters.
- Master’s: Minimum of six semesters, maximum of eight semesters.
- Ph.D.: Minimum of ten semesters, maximum of twelve semesters.
- Part-Time MBA/MPA:
- Duration: Minimum of four semesters.
Note: Part-time programmes are only available for faculties of Management Sciences and Social Sciences.
How to Apply for NDU Postgraduate Admission
- Purchase Application Form:
- Visit ndufees.com to purchase the form for ₦30,000.00.
- Fill Out the Form:
- Visit postgraduate.nduportal.com, click on “admissions,” and then click on “application.” Enter your mobile phone number and payment receipt number.
- Upload Documents:
- Fill out the form correctly, upload all necessary documents, and confirm the upload. Print out the application form.
Important: The ₦30,000.00 application fee is non-refundable.
Duration of Sale and Upload of Documents
- The portal will close at midnight on August 31, 2024, for the uploading of documents.
- Upload academic credentials, NYSC Discharge, Exclusion or Exemption Certificate, Birth Certificate/Age Declaration, and any other relevant documents.
- Incomplete or incorrect uploading of documents or improper filling of admission forms will invalidate your application.
