Who Can Apply for the CSIR-SASOL Foundation Bursary Program?
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Current University Students:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be planning to enroll full-time at a South African university for the 2025 academic year.
- Must have passed all registered courses for the completed study period at the university.
- Master’s and Doctoral Applicants:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must demonstrate good scientific writing skills, organizational abilities, time management skills, and an excellent academic record.
- Must show a drive for conducting research, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Must have excellent technical abilities and the capacity to work under pressure to meet scheduled deliverables.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with evidence of reports or conference papers written.
- Must meet the entry requirements for a master’s or PhD bursary at the selected university.

- A copy of your certified identity document.
- A copy of your latest academic record.
