Anchor University Awards scholarships to 61 best scorers in 2023 UTME; On July 6, 2023, Professor Sam Oye Bandele, vice chancellor of Anchor University in Lagos, presented scholarships to 61 Deeper Life High School pupils who had achieved the top grades on the JAMB 2023 examination.
Professor Bandele praised Miss Kamsiyochukwu Precious Umeh, the institution’s all-around top student, during a press conference that was recently held there.

The Vice-Chancellor announced Miss Kamsiyochukwu Precious Umeh as the young ambassador for the 2022/2023 session with a full scholarship awarded to her to study any course of her choice at Anchor University on behalf of the institution’s founder Pastor (Dr.) W.F. Kumuyi, the BOT chairman, Pastor Nkem-jika Obina, the Pro-Chancellor, Professor Steven Odi-Owei, and the Anchor University Management at large.
He continued by announcing a tuition-free scholarship for the top 10 Deeper Life High School students nationwide in the UTME. Additionally, he announced a significant tuition discount for the first 50 Deeper Life High School students admitted to Anchor University for the 2023–2024 academic year who achieved a score of 250 or above on the 2022–2023 UTME.
Professor Sam Oye Bandele, who specializes in educational evaluation and computer education, also took the opportunity to urge all Nigerians to exercise caution when defending alleged wrongdoers against recognized national organizations that are charged with carrying out the specified duties.
He said that we shouldn’t use a platform for political bluster or anything that could undermine the foundation of high-caliber input into our country’s ivory towers. He was responding to some candidates’ confusion over their JAMB scores. He continued by saying that all of their operations have been authentically digitalized by JAMB. He begged all unnecessary opposing forces to submit to the truth and acknowledge superiority where it belongs in the JAMB’s mission is to guarantee high-quality input into Nigeria’s higher education system.
In reference to the Anchor University 2023–2024 admissions exercise, he stated that parents and prospective students can begin the admissions process for any of the Faculties’ programs. Computer science, nursing science, medicine (in collaboration with Dominican University in the Dominican Republic), public health, anatomy, geology, applied geophysics, physics with electronics, information technology, microbiology, and biotechnology are among the applied, natural, and health sciences. Other foundational sciences include mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Mass communication, economics, business administrations, political sciences, and international studies are among the humanities, social sciences, and management sciences. English and literary studies, history and international studies, and French and Christian religious studies round out the list. Architecture is a part of environmental sciences. Additionally, there are postgraduate programs in computer science, microbiology, and business administration (PGD, M.Sc., MBA, and PhD).
