The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted a full operational licence to Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State. This follows a detailed assessment earlier in 2024, marking a major milestone for the university.

- Full Licence Achievement: After operating under a provisional licence for three years, the university has met all NUC operational guidelines and can now function fully without limitations
