AE-FUNAI Reschedules 2026/2027 Academic Session Resumption to 9 November; Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has postponed resumption for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university has moved the resumption date from Monday, 26 October, to Monday, 9 November 2026.
The Vice-Chancellor approved the revised date following unforeseen developments and logistical challenges within the university. Registrar T. Ifeanyi Igwe announced the decision in an internal memorandum dated 22 October 2026.
Arrival Dates for Fresh and Returning Students
The university has directed fresh and returning students to arrive on campus between Saturday, 7 November, and Sunday, 8 November 2026.
This arrangement will allow students to settle into their respective halls of residence before academic activities resume.
Lectures to Begin on 9 November 2026
Lecturers are expected to commence lectures immediately on Monday, 9 November 2026. This is the university’s new resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Inception Quiz for Returning Students
Returning students will take their inception quiz two weeks after academic activities resume.
Meanwhile, the university has urged members of the campus community to follow the revised academic schedule. The management also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the postponement.
