AAU Management Reiterates Ban on Wild Jubilation Ahead of Second-Semester Examinations; The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Professor Mrs. Eunice Ebohserhiemen Omozoje, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, staff, and students, has extended her best wishes to all students as they begin their second-semester examinations.
In a bulletin released on Monday, 17th November 2025, the University Management reaffirmed that the long-standing Senate policy prohibiting wild jubilation during or after examinations remains fully enforced.
Ban on Wild Jubilation Remains in Force
AAU emphasized a strict ban on all forms of wild celebration, warning students to avoid actions that could lead to disorderliness or security risks. Prohibited activities include:
- Pouring water, sand, or drinks on students
- Motor, bike, or bicycle parades
- Consumption of alcohol, loud shouting, hooting, dancing, or any act that may cause disorder or criminal behaviour
- Playing loud music or gathering around the Administrative Building for celebration
The University cautioned that students who violate these rules may face severe sanctions, including the cancellation of their examinations.
Students Encouraged to Celebrate Only at Convocation
Management reminded students that the appropriate time and place for celebration is the official university convocation ceremony, not the examination period.
Additional Regulations Still in Effect
The University also reiterated that the law prohibiting students from driving vehicles into the campus is still active. Any student found violating this rule will be sanctioned.
Furthermore, parents, friends, and well-wishers were advised to stay away from the campus throughout the examination period to maintain a peaceful and distraction-free environment.
