UNILAG ICE Part-Time Admission 2026/2027. The University of Lagos (UNILAG), through its Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), has opened applications for admission into its part-time degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The programmes cover Arts, Education, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Social Sciences and Science, with options including BA, BA (Ed) and B.Sc. Ed programmes.

The application process involves two stages. Candidates must first obtain a JAMB registration number and then complete the UNILAG ICE application. An entrance examination is also required for the programmes.

The application deadline is Friday, 13 November 2026.

How to Apply for UNILAG ICE Part-Time Admission

The UNILAG ICE admission process has two stages. Candidates must complete both.

Stage 1: Register with JAMB

Applicants must first register through the JAMB CAPS platform and obtain a JAMB registration number.

The JAMB registration fee is N3,500.

Candidates should note that no UTME examination is required at this stage.

Stage 2: Complete the UNILAG ICE Application

After obtaining a JAMB registration number, proceed with the UNILAG application.

Visit the UNILAG application portal.
Select “Start Fresh Application.”
Choose ICE as the application type.
Enter your personal details and JAMB registration number.
Pay the N11,500 UNILAG processing fee online, or print the Payment Advice containing the Remita number and make payment at a bank within the University of Lagos.
Return to the application portal after payment.
Select “Continue Application.”
Enter the payment reference number and use your surname in lowercase as the password.
Complete all required sections of the application.
Upload the required documents.
Review the information entered and submit the application.
Print two copies of the completed application form.

Candidates can save their forms and return later to make changes before final submission.

Hard Copy Submission

Completing the online application is not the final step.

After submitting the application, candidates must print the completed form in colour.

Two copies are required:

One copy should be submitted to the department applied to.
The second copy should be submitted to the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE).

Candidates should complete this physical submission within the application period.

UNILAG ICE Admission Requirements

Applicants must possess at least one of the recognised qualifications listed for admission.

1. O’Level Qualification

Candidates may apply with any of the following:

WASC
SSCE
NECO
GCE O’Level
Equivalent qualification

Candidates must have at least five credit passes, including:

English Language
Mathematics

The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

Applicants should also have the relevant subjects required for their chosen programme.

2. A’Level Qualification

Candidates may qualify with:

GCE A’Level
Cambridge Examination
Equivalent qualification

The requirement is principal passes in at least two relevant subjects.

3. OND, HND or NCE

Candidates may also apply with:

The qualification must be from a government-approved polytechnic or college of education, as applicable.

4. First Degree

A first degree from the University of Lagos or another comparable institution approved by the University Senate is also listed as an acceptable qualification route.

5. JUPEB

Candidates with a JUPEB result of at least 2.00 points may also apply.

Age Requirement

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

In addition to the general entry requirements, candidates must satisfy any additional requirements prescribed by the faculty or department responsible for their chosen programme.

UNILAG ICE Application Fee

There are two separate payments involved in the application process:

UNILAG ICE Entrance Examination

Candidates applying for the part-time programmes are required to take an entrance examination.

The examination covers:

English Language
General Paper

Candidates applying for Management Sciences programmes will also take Mathematics.

Applicants are expected to arrive at the examination venue by 7:45 a.m. and must bring a colour printout of their application form.

When Will the UNILAG ICE Entrance Examination Hold?

The specific date of the qualifying examination has not yet been stated in the admission information.

UNILAG says the examination date will be announced through the ICE website and by text message to candidates.

Candidates should therefore monitor the ICE website and the phone number used during their application.

UNILAG ICE Provisional Admission Letters

Provisional admission letters are expected to be available for collection two weeks after the entrance examination.

This means candidates should first complete the examination before expecting the provisional admission letter within the stated timeline.

Important Things to Remember
