FUTMINNA Bursar Recruitment 2026: Qualifications/ Experience and Application Requirements; The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant position of University Bursar.
Applicants for the position will be assessed based on the stated academic qualifications, professional memberships, relevant work experience and age requirements.
The University Bursar is a Principal Officer and Chief Financial Officer of FUTMINNA. The Bursar is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the University’s financial affairs.
Duties of the FUTMINNA Bursar
The University Bursar will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of FUTMINNA’s financial affairs.
The officer will also provide University Management with advice and support on financial transactions, including auditing.

FUTMINNA Bursar Qualification Requirements
Candidates applying for the position must hold at least a Second Class Lower degree in Accounting or an allied discipline from a recognised university.
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Applicants must also be registered members of either of the following professional bodies:
- Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
Candidates must also provide evidence of ICT knowledge and its application at a high level in financial administration and management.
Applicants must meet the University’s requirements for the appointment of non-academic staff.
FUTMINNA Bursar Age Limit and Appointment Period
Applicants must not be more than 59 years old at the time of appointment.
The appointment will be for a period of five years.
However, the appointment may be extended for an additional one year, subject to satisfactory service.
FUTMINNA Bursar Professional Experience Requirements
Applicants must currently hold a rank that is not lower than Chief Accountant.
Candidates must also have a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, of which at least five years must have been spent in a university.
These requirements form part of the experience criteria for the vacant position of University Bursar.
FUTMINNA Bursar Conditions of Service
The remuneration and conditions of service for the position will be those applicable to Bursars in Federal Universities in Nigeria.
The remuneration and conditions of service may also be determined by the University Council and the Federal Government from time to time.

FUTMINNA Bursar Referee Requirements
Applicants are required to provide three referees.
One of the referees must be from the applicant’s current employer, while the other two referees must be professionals or authorities in relevant fields.
Each applicant is expected to ask their referees to send confidential reports directly to the Registrar.
The desired position must be clearly identified in each referee’s report.
FUTMINNA Bursar 500-Word Vision Statement
Each candidate must prepare a statement of not more than 500 words outlining their vision for the development and management of a digitalised Bursary Department of a 21st Century University.
The vision statement will form part of the application materials.
