McPherson University Recruitment 2026. McPherson University has announced the commencement of recruitment for qualified candidates to fill eight academic and non-teaching positions.

Academic Staff Vacancy

Librarian I (MUTSSS 3)

Applicants for the Librarian I position must possess:

  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B).
  • Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.).
  • A Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science (M.LS. or M.LIS).

Candidates must also be ICT literate, with practical knowledge of library software applications and electronic databases. Possession of relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.

Non-Teaching Staff Vacancies

Deputy Bursar II (MUNTSSS 14)

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognised institution with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • Professional registration with ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or another recognised accounting body.

Candidates must also have:

  • A minimum of 17 years of post-NYSC accounting experience.
  • At least five years of experience serving as a Chief Accountant.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate sound knowledge of:

  • Financial reporting.
  • Budget preparation and management.
  • Tax administration.
  • Payroll administration.
  • Financial regulations.

Proficiency in modern accounting software and Microsoft Office applications is also required.

Chief Accountant (MUNTSSS 13)

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • Professional registration with ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or an equivalent recognised accounting body.

Applicants must also have:

  • At least 14 years of post-NYSC accounting experience.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience as a Principal Accountant.

Successful candidates should possess practical knowledge of:

  • Financial reporting.
  • Budgeting.
  • Taxation.
  • Payroll administration.
  • Financial regulations.

Applicants must also be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Medical Officer II (MUNTSSS 10)

Applicants must possess:

  • An MBBS degree or an equivalent medical qualification.
  • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates must also be fully registered with the Medical Council of Nigeria.

Pharmacist I (MUNTSSS 08)

Applicants must possess:

  • A B.Sc. or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree from a recognised institution with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
  • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

Applicants must also be duly registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.

Nursing Officer I (MUNTSSS 08)

Applicants must possess:

  • NRN and NRM certificates.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and Biology.

Candidates must also:

  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
  • Have at least seven years of post-qualification experience.

Senior Nursing Officer (MUNTSSS 09)

Applicants must possess:

  • NRN and NRM certificates.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and Biology.

Applicants must also:

  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience.

Engineer II (Civil) – MUNTSSS 07

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
  • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • Five SSCE, NECO, WASC or GCE O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates must also be registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
